The yelling, screaming and choice words just not worth the effort any more

Thanksgiving dinner at a female co-worker's home with her and her kids. She was newly divorced at the time. I thought I gave a graceful excuse. She didn't accept it well. Heck, I have family of my own to go to for Thanksgiving...ya know?
