im looking to buy a crossbow but i dont know anything about them.. it will be for my dad.. he has a shoulder problem and im sure he would be able to get the permit to hunt with it.. i guess i wanna know what to look for.. how far can they shoot? are they as accurate as a regular compound bow?? what kind of features should i look for on a crossbow? whats a good price to pay?? anything that you can think of would be helpful... thanks

Get one with 150lbs. or so draw. You can get your dad a crank to help draw the string back. I had an older Barnett RC-300, was ok. They'll cost around $300 or more. I wouldn't shoot any further than a regular bow.

You can put a low pwr. scope on most of themThe more fps the faster the bolt will fly and the more pwr U will have!
