It wont matter to the deer in the least. Put it next to it or on top of it. The deer will not care.Good luck!

I have began using deer cane and corn....worked well and I thought DEER CANE was the greatest thing ever....once it was all gone I had more corn left and Didnt have time to go to town and get more Deer Cane. I put out plain corn and had same results....bottom line is hungry deer will eat with or without the Deer Cane... If I remember right that stuff is like 7-10 dollars per jug or block....save your money tags and license are expensive enough

In many states it's illegal to hunt over a "baited area" . In missouri it doesn't matter if you were aware of the baited area or not. There is a distance you have to be away from it but it escapes me at the moment. if your state allows it then I wouldn't think it would matter very much. As a matter of fact if you put it within rifle range you should be good. You don't want to sit right on top of it. They'll be more alert to movement when they approach it.

Here in WV it is legal and I have my Moultrie feeder hanging right over where I put a salt block and have also put deer cane. Deer don't seem to worry about it. All are deer attractants and the deer cane is more of a lick attractant and of course corn is a meal.
